Is there are way to embed a multimedia file rather than just linking to the multimedia? - Crystal (Yes, this is a question to myself and anyone else who reads this! :)
I'm sure it is possible if it is a Web-based multimedia file, for example a video. Find the embed source code and copy/paste it. (Christine)

Do your students have the access and skill to get to their writing pages and load their material? -Judy
The students will need instructions and coaching. I must finished doing it with my current class. Even a reluctant and less skilled learner managed to load the essay. (Christine)
I think my students this term could use this wiki. I am not planning to have them on here this term, but perhaps future terms. I am relying on the university's Blackboard for now. I would also (just as I do with Bb now) show them in class by modeling how to log on, access specific pages, etc. I sometimes even have students log on in class so they can see what they will be seeing as students.

Good question, Crystal! The Wiki will be used if it is central to learning and teaching. Thus, it is in your power to provide the stimulus for its use. As with all technology, it is effective if it is integrated into teachng and supports pedagogy. (Christine)
Judy, I could feasibly build a curriculum that required using the wiki. If all major assignment documents and collaboration are here, then they would have to access it for full credit on the rubrics. So for big projects/assignments/essays they would be using the wiki on a weekly basis. To see weekly lesson plans and daily PPT lessons, students might voluntarily go on the wiki daily. (Crystal)
